Pet Health Plans provide you with a simple, money-saving way to give your pet the regular preventive treatments he or she needs. Pet Health Plans are not pet insurance: Pet Health Plans cover the regular things – like vaccinations, flea, worm and parasite treatments, health checks and advice – that pet insurance generally doesn’t.

Wood Street Veterinary Hospital strongly recommends taking out pet insurance for your animals.
There are now a large number of companies offering this service and though we do not act as agents for any one company, we wish to at least give our clients a selection of possible companies to choose from.
In addition to the companies listed below, some supermarket chains now offer their own pet insurance (for instance, Sainsbury's and Tesco's) - the list below is not exhaustive, but covers those companies we deal with most commonly.

Whilst premiums vary, you must also take into account that not all companies have a policy which guarantees lifelong cover for your pet, and that policies also have differing maximum levels of cover and excess amounts. It's well worth shopping around a little for the policy that best suits your needs. Some examples are;
