 The consultation comprises of a 15 minute appointment with a qualified veterinary surgeon who will perform a thorough head to toe examination of your pet. The vet will discuss with you any concerns you may have about your pet’s health and based on the information you have given he will work out the best treatment options available which he will discuss with you. If extra tests are necessary we have facilities on site to be able to perform the majority of the procedures in-house with results being quickly available.

During the consultation you will also be able to get advice on a variety of subjects including flea treatment, worming, diets, dental care and weight. 

Subsequent consultation for the same condition are at a reduced price. 

 

Puppy Vaccination Course - £58.14

The vaccination course will protect your puppy against several different diseases including Canine Parvo Virus, Distemper, Leptospirosis, Hepatitis and some strains of Kennel Cough. The course comprises of 2 injections two weeks apart starting at 8 weeks of age.

When you bring your puppy along for the vaccination your puppy will be given a thorough head to toe examination and you will have the opportunity to ask about any problems or worries that you may have about your new pet.  A nurse will always be available to hold your puppy if required.

When you get a new puppy there will always be lots of questions you would like to ask so during the consultation you will also be given advice on a variety of subjects including training, the importance of regular flea and worm treatment, diet, dental care, weight and much more.

It is important that you socialise your puppy, so to help you get started you will be invited to come along to one of our free puppy parties where you will have the opportunity to meet other puppies and a nurse will go through lots of information with you.

 

Kitten Vaccination Course £61.51 including leukaemia  (£51.41 for Cat Flu and Enteritis Only)

The vaccination course will protect your kitten against 3 different diseases including cat flu, feline enteritis and feline leukaemia. You can choose not to include the leukaemia part of the vaccinations. The course comprises of 2 injections three weeks apart starting at 9 weeks of age with the second vaccine 3 weeks later.

When you bring your kitten along for the vaccination your kitten will be given a thorough clinical examination and you will have the opportunity to ask about any problems or worries that you may have about your new pet.  A nurse will always be available to hold your kitten if required.

When you get a new kitten there will always be lots of questions you would like to ask so during the consultation you will also be given advice on a variety of subjects including, the importance of regular flea and worm treatment, diet, dental care, weight and much more.

Dog Castration  - from £132.19 - £156.43 depending on weight.

This surgery completely removes the testicles. The advantages of having your dog castrated are:

  • He will no longer be able to father unwanted puppies.
  • It will reduce dominant behaviour
  • It will reduce sexually related behaviours
  • Prevention of testicular cancer
  • Prevention of male hormone linked diseases
  • Reduce the tendancy for him to roam

You will be able to have your dog castrated from the age of 6months.

When he comes to the hospital for her surgery you will have an appointment with one of our vets who will go through the procedure with you and answer any questions you may have. You will be required to sign a consent form before the procedure can take place. Most dogs who come to be castrated are fit and well however some problems cannot be detected by physical examination alone so you will be given the opportunity for your dog to have a pre anaesthetic blood screen which will cost an extra £65.62. These tests will be performed in our own lab on site and the results will determine if there is likely to be an increased risk. Any findings will be discussed with you.  

Your dog will undergo a thorough top to toe examination, have his weight recorded before we administer a pre med which will help him relax and will reduce the amount of anaesthetic required. The premed also includes pain relief which lasts for 24hours and will ensure that your dog is pain free. Once he is taken to theatre for the surgery he will be closely monitored by the theatre nurse, assisted by specialist monitoring equipment and under the supervision of the surgeon.

When you come to collect him later in the day the nurse will go through all of his aftercare and give you full written care instructions. There will be no stitches to remove as we use modern dissolvable sutures. Included in the price is a post op check 7-10 days after surgery so that we can check that the wound is healing well and discuss post neuter diet .

Bitch Spay  between £171.36 to £250.92 dependent on weight.

The technical name for a bitch spay is ovarohysterectomy which means complete removal of the uterus and ovaries. The advantages of having your bitch spayed are:

  • She will not come into season
  • It will reduce the chances of your bitch developing mammary tumours
  • Prevention of pyometra which is an infection of the uterus where the uterus fills with pus and is potentially life threatening and usually occurs in older bitches
  • She will not suffer from false pregnancies
  • No unwanted puppies

You are able to have your bitch spayed from the age of 5 months but this may be dependant on her seasons and her breed. Please call the hospital to discuss the best option for your bitch.

Your bitch will stay in the hospital overnight in a comfy spacious kennel to ensure that remains comfortable after her surgery. The veterinary nurse who is on duty that night will carefully monitor her throughout the night and ensure that she gets lots of TLC.

When you come to collect her the following day the nurse will go through all of her aftercare and give you full written care instructions. There will be no stitches to remove as we use modern dissolvable sutures.Included in the price is a post op check 7-10 days after surgery so that we can check that the wound is healing well and discuss post neuter diet . Laprascopic Bitch Spey ( key hole surgery) – will cost an extra £126.00

We are also one of only a few practices to be able to offer our clients the opportunity to have their bitch spayed via key hole surgery. The incision is much smaller and the using high tech equipment a highly skilled veterinary surgeon will remove the ovaries and uterus as in the more routine butch spay. This is less invasive surgery than the more common type of bitch spay and does allow the bitch to recover quicker.
