 Claire Defries DipAVN (medical) RVN - Head Nurse
I trained and qualified in a small animal general practice in North London in 2001. I then went on to work at the Royal Veterinary College as a senior nurse responsible for all diagnostic areas of the hospital. While working in the hospital I gained the Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing. My specific areas of interestare anaesthesia and endoscopy including laparoscopy. I really enjoy the satisfaction of nursing a much loved pet through illness and reuniting them with their family. A typical day at Wood Street for me involves managing the busy nursing team whilst looking after your pets, all the equipment and hospital supplies we need.
Christine Robinson RVN D32/33/34
I qualified as a nurse in 1979 and over many years have seen changes in all aspects of veterinary medicine & nurse training. I am actively involved in nurse training and have lectured at three colleges. I have gained my assessor
and verifier awards. I strongly believe that veterinary nurses are vital to veterinary practice. I have worked with two feline specialists for many years and I am particularly interested in feline medicine. I am actively involved in the cat ward at the hospital and hope to develop my interest further.
Rachel Cook BSc (Hons) RVN A1
I joined the Wood Street team in 2006 after doing a BSc (Hons) degree in veterinary nursing at the RVC. I enjoy all areas of nursing especially theatre practice, anaesthesia and radiography.My main responsibilities at Wood Street are keeping the operating theatres in order and doing the daily drug order. I am also training to become an assessor. I have a cat called Ash who lives with my parents in Grimsby with my two 13 year old rabbits.

Sharon Dunworth RVN
I joined Wood Street Veterinary Hospital in July 1998 as a student veterinary nurse and became qualified in 2002.
I have an energetic dog called Poppy.
I enjoy all aspects of veterinary nursing and I particularly enjoy nurse clinics.

Mark Walsh RVN
I joined Wood Street Veterinary Hospital in December 2007 after qualifying whilst working at the Wood Green Animal Shelter.
I enjoy medical nursing and critical care nursing.
I am an avid Tottenham Hotspurs fan and have a dog called Poppy.

Helen King RVN
I qualified in 1998 as a veterinary nurse. I am interested in small animal anaesthesia . I have a mad collie cross who keeps me on my toes. I enjoy yoga in my spare time.
Rosanna Orrin RVN
I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2005 and then worked in large charity hospitals until starting a family in 2007. I have worked at Wood Street since February 2009. I enjoy all aspects of nursing especially medical nursing and nurse clinics. One of my duties which I thoroughly enjoy is organising and running the puppy parties.

Megan Godfrey RVN
I qualified in January 2009 after completing a Foundation Degree in Veterinary Nursing. After a short while working in a small practice in Hertfordshire I joined Wood Street in May 2009.
Outside of work I enjoy riding my horse and training my Jack Russell Terrier for agility.
Georgina Skeggs RVN
I joined Wood Street in November 2007 after completing a degree in Animal Science and qualified in 2010. I also undertook some volunteer work with lion cubs in Africa before joining the team.I enjoy all aspects of my job especially medical nursing and working closely with our clients. I have a Yorkie called Charlie and 2 cats.

Michel Yakerson RVN
I qualified as a veterinary nurse in November 2009 after being on a univerity placement at Wood Street.
I have a particular interest in nursing our diabetic patients and helping our clients with their diabetic pets.
Lauren Quigley Student VN
I have worked at Wood Street since July 2005 and I am currently undertaking my veterinary nurse training.
I have several cats at home who keep me busy in my spare time.
Tamsim Searle Stuent VN
I have worked at Wood Street since February 2007 and I enjoy all aspects of nursing. I have 2 cats who keep me on my toes called Hugo and Diesal.
