Veterinary Surgeons
Tony White BVSc MRCVS
Tony White Graduated from Bristol University in 1992 and has been at Wood Street since August of the same year. Whilst enjoying all aspects of being a vet Tony is particularly interested in surgery and is keen to
develop the use of 'keyhole surgery' at the hospital. Apart from work, his wife, three children,
7 dogs, 3 cats and 3 horses keep him busy!
Phil Barr BVSc Cert SAM MRCVS
Phil Barr qualified from Bristol University Vet School in 1991 and after a year in ‘exotic’ animal practice where he did his best to treat the odd monkey, meercat and crocodile, he made the sensible move back to normal small animal practice (dogs, cats and other small pets). He then gained a further RCVS qualification in Small Animal Medicine in 1998, and joined Wood Street Veterinary Hospital as a partner in 2001. Phil is enthusiastic about all aspects of veterinary practice with special emphasis on medical investigation techniques such as ultrasound and endoscopy. He is presently studying for a further qualification in cardiology. At home Phil has some happy geriatric cats as well as a wife and 2 small children to ensure his time is fully occupied!

Emma Clark MA VetMB MRCVS
Emma Clark graduated from Cambridge Vet School in 2001. She has been part of the Wood Street Veterinary Hospital team since March 2005. She enjoys all aspects of general practice with a particular interest in small animal medicine. She has a cat called Charlie and enjoys riding, walking and playing tennis. Emma is currently on maternity leave.

Kate Ballard - BVM&S MRCVS
Kate Ballard graduated from the Royal School of Veterinary Studies, Edinburgh in June 2002 and went on to practice in Stourbridge as a small animal assistant. She
then worked as an intern, specialising in small animals at the Animal Health Trust, based in Newmarket. Kate joined Wood Street as one of our team of vets in 2006. On a more personal level, Kate enjoys horse riding and skiing and
holds a PADI scuba diving certificate.
Raj Mukherjee BVetMed MRCVS
Raj Mukherjee graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2005 and spent a year working in a small animal hospital in Harrogate, before joining Wood Street in September of 2006. His clinical interests lie in Cardiology, Diagnostic Imaging and Internal Medicine. Raj is currently studying towards the RCVS Certificate in Cardiology.
Beth Walding BSc (Hons) BVSc MRCVS
Beth Walding graduated from Bristol Veterinary School in 2004, having done an extra degree in veterinary pathology and infectious disease halfway through her degree course. Since graduating, she has worked in small animal practice in Bristol and Northampton, and ha
s just finished a year at the Royal Veterinary College working as an intern principally in emergency and critical care medicine. Beth enjoys all aspects of veterinary work, but is particularly interested in small animal medicine, and is currently enrolled for the RCVS Medicine Certificate.When not at work Beth enjoys socialising, travelling, the arts, cooking (and reluctant gym attendance to off-set it…) and running around after her cat and rabbits…
Ozlem Cosar BSc(Hons) BVetMed MRCVS

Ozlem graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in July 2010 having also completed a degree in Veterinary Sciences. You may recognise her as our Saturday morning receptionist, a role she worked in while studying.
She has completed charity work in Turkey neutering stray dogs and cats, and providing much needed care to these unfortunate animals.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, socialising and swimming. Ozlem also has a dog Chloe and a cat Twix to keep her busy.

Sophie-Jo Walsh BVs MRCVS
Sophie qualified from Bristol University in 2009 and spent the following summer working for the Blue Cross Animal Hospital in Victoria before starting work in Kent. After 18 months in mixed practice grappling with the occasional zoo animal, she joined Wood Street to persue her small animal interests in June 2011.
In her spare time she loves going to see live music, travelling and has a bit of a soft spot for Border Terriers

Anna Shawcroft MA VetMB MRCVS
Anna qualified from Cambridge Veterinary School in 2009 with an additional degree in pathology. She spent her summer after graduating working for a children's charity based in Liverpool where she ran weeks of both their residential and day projects before joining a large small animal hospital in Derby. Anna joined Wood Street in June 2011. In her spare time she enjoys Tae kwon-do, hockey, rugby and swimming.
